Another benefit of fasting is to seek God’s guidance. When you are at a cross road or have decisions to make and do not know the best one to take, waiting on the Lord in fasting can guide you on what to do. Our fire scripture today tells us of the fasting ministration of the apostles to seek the face of God conceming the ministry of Paul and Bamabas.
Thereafter, the Holy Spirit ministered to them and the pair was sent away to win souls for Christ.
Spirit-filled Christians are especially sensitive to the communication of the Holy Spirit during times of prayer and fasting. Paul and Barnabas were called by God into missionary service (i.e., to take Christ’s message to other people, groups, countries and cultures) and were commissioned by the church at Antioch. This was after waiting on the Lord in prayer and fasting. By this, they were guided accordingly.
Another benefit of fasting, beloved, is that it will give you grace and uncommon enablement divinely. It is not possible to travel far on the highway of success without fasting regularly. When you fast, you will receive grace and record, with minimal effort, the success that your contemporaries are struggling for.
Fasting will enable you to depend wholly on God and His solutions. It will make you to be totally focused on Him, and that particular period, you will not give room to any distractions. Another thing you will benefit from fasting is that it will make your spiritual senses to be very sharp and be at a cutting edge. Darkness will not be able to hide anything from you; even your discemment will be very sharp. No dark power can hide from your spiritual radar. If you have not started to fast, then you are missing a lot. There is no better time to start than now.

MORNING
1. My Father, help me to be focused on You only, in the name of Jesus.
2. I shall not live a life of prayerlessness, in the name of Jesus.
3. Arrows of weariness against my prayer and fasting life, die, in the name of Jesus.

4. Powers saying no to my victorious living, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. O Lord, arise and lead me in Holy-Ghost anchored fasting and prayer, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every evil load of darkness against my life, catch fire and die, in the name of Jesus.
7. Any power making my spiritual life ordinary, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.
